Closer to
the two new main Orange queens Freeride 350 and DUKE 690, KTM updates to
the range of road bikes. After the KTM Duke 690 upgrade, the 700 cc engine
comes also on two other models , the SMC-R and Enduro R say good-bye to 654 cc old
“mono”, and welcome also to the throttle integral Ride by Wire. The new
graphics always in line with the spirit of "Ready to Race" and the
adjustable suspension department confirms the sporty soul of these models. KTM remark
that the single cylinder engine LC4 is one of the banckmarch of production and the
last technical update increase intervals service in the order of 10.000 km.
After the ABS
update for the KTM 990 SMT also adds to the SM 990 R. Natural evolution to one
of the most fun bike on the market, that add a higher level of security. The
maxi motard Austria remains the reference category for the performance of its
LC8 engine with 117 horsepower.
The
Superduke adds the passenger seat and sends retired the regular version and the
old R. The two seats SuperDuke adopt the same R sport suspension, the steering
damper, and earned the latest updates to the twin engine of 999 cc four-valve,
which is confirmed closer to 130 hp.
The last
news are for the little Duke. After the extraordinary success of sales in the
2011 the Duke increase displacement next 200 cubic centimeters. Displacement
grows but not with just a simple boring of the cylinder. New measures of both
piston diameter and stroke, and new techniques also apply to the crankcase.
