Star 4 Tempi scooter: a modern day classic
In Italy the scooter is sacred and the new LML Star 4 Tempi reminds everyone of the glory days, when the scooter ruled the roads.
The retro-look scooter has been created by Italian company LML Italia, combining the aesthetic of a 1970s scooter with modern technology and performance.
The Star 4 Tempi is about more than just a classic look. It’s development follows on from the Star 2 Tempi and is available in 125cc and 150cc versions. Both engines are Euro 3, with low CO2 emissions.
It is also one of the most ecological vehicles in the world and can cover 60km with a litre of fuel. It has a revolutionary frame that includes steel welded tubes that reinforce the frame and make it 700
times more rigid than a classic single-piece frames. The engine is centrally placed, with a special support that has a silence block at the point of contact with the frame to reduce noise transfer. The suspension and brakes have also improved with a braking distance reduced by 50%.
There are four different lines of finishing and colour for the Star 4 Tempi:
The Linea Classic in white, silver and gun metal; the chic
Linea Prestige in red, graphite and ocean blue, and the
Linea Vintage in ivory, green, orange and taxi yellow. In 2010 there will also be a Star Lifestyle line that allows custom finishes, while a long series of original accessories is already available.
All this technology and design means that the LML Star 4 Tempi has a vintage look but ultra modern performance standards.
