Press accreditation 2021

CRITERIA OF PRESS ACCREDITATION

Every year EICMA welcomes thousands of journalists, photo-reporters, influencers, and communication technicians and professionals. The value and the visibility of the exhibition event have grown in time also thanks to their irreplaceable and invaluable accounts. This is why we are constantly committed to creating the best conditions possible to help and support this activity, but above all we want to protect and give the right value even more to those who work in this area exclusively, seriously and professionally.

Please read the following carefully before starting the online procedure of accreditation which will allow you, if in possession of the requisites, to receive your entry pass directly by email valid for the entire duration of EICMA 2021 and the access keys to the reserved digital PRESS ROOM.

GENERAL NOTES

  1. Having obtained a press accreditation for previous years of EICMA is in no way a prerequisite, there are no invitations and the procedure must be repeated every year.
  2. Only and exclusively requests for press accreditation from people and professionals who hold jobs and positions related to journalism, photo reporting, in media departments, social media and press offices supporting the exhibitors will be accepted.
  3. Requests from representatives of dealers and advertising agencies, public relations and marketing must follow the path of accreditation for PROFESSIONALS.
  4. Requests for accreditation for those under 16 and, except for special agreements with the Press Office, cumulative requests and/or sent from undefined email addresses such as, by way of example, info@, amministrazione@, segreteria@ will not be taken into consideration. Furthermore, applications with names from professional, corporate and/or publishers of the applicant email addresses will be given preference over general addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Libero or other providers).
  5. The accreditation is personal and cannot be transferred. No type of solution is envisaged for accompaniers, unless they are professions and technicians indispensable for the editorial activity described in point 2, who in turn must proceed individually with the request for accreditation.

FOR JOURNALISTS

Holding the membership card of the Italian Press Association (Ordine dei Giornalisti) is not in itself an entry pass for EICMA. AS well as enjoying the status of journalist, as established by the law regulating the profession, the fundamental minimum requisites to proceed with the application for accreditation are holding a currently valid membership card (2021 “stamp”, where issued) and currently working. The proof of having produced articles and/or news items on previous years will also be a qualifying prerequisite.

FOR MEDIA PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE NOT MEMBERS OF THE ITALIAN PRESS ASSOCIATION (ODG)

For all those who are not members of the Italian Press Association (Ordine dei Giornalisti) a letter of appointment from the publisher or media with which they work, signed by a manager, by the Chief Editor or by a Department Editor in the case of journalistic publications, is compulsory. If the applicant is self-employed, not a member of the Italian Press Association, who works in the areas described in point 2 of the General Notes (see above), self-certification will still be necessary. All signatories of letters will be individually responsible in the case of making untruthful statements.

FOR INFLUENCERS

Bloggers, YouTubers, owners of websites, profiles and social network pages and more in general, influencers, must provide a brief presentation of their publishing initiative and any documentation of the work done during previous EICMA exhibitions.

The Press Office will evaluate the pertinence of the proposals and will only consider profiles that have been active for more than 12 months (primarily coherent with the sector of reference and with contents of quality), examining all the main metrics of social media analysis.

Save agreement with the Press Office, social network profiles with fewer than 10,000 followers/subscribers will not be taken into consideration (profiles deemed of particular qualitative interest and in line with the EICMA objectives of communication are excluded from this numerical limit). We also repeat that having obtained a press accreditation for previous years of EICMA is in no way a prerequisite.

In the case that your application is accepted, the production of at least two posts/articles/news items on the exhibition and the use of the official EICMA hashtags are recommended.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

The Press Office, having evaluated every request and also considered any work produced by the applicant at the previous EICMA exhibitions, reserves the right to grant or not to grant the accreditation. An answer will be given to every application.
Finally, we remind you that the entrance ticket is valid for the entire duration of the event.
For any other particular requirement or proposal and for requests on what is not explicitly shown above, please write to press@eicma.it.

THE PROCEDURE WILL BE ACTIVE UNTIL SATURDAY 27 NOVEMBER 2021 INCLUDED
