The International Bicycle and Motorcycle Show announces the agreement with Fiera Milano on the new dates, the CEO Magri: “A show with a great symbolic value”
EICMA no. 78 will be held from 23rd to 28th November 2021 (the days of 23rd and 24th will be for the press and professionals only) in the halls of Fiera Milano in Rho, according to a press release issued by EICMA S.p.A. In it the company announces the agreement with Fiera Milano on the new dates for the International Bicycle and Motorcycle Show. The most important appointment in the world for the two-wheel industry is postponed for two weeks due to requirements linked to harmonizing the calendar of the trade fairs programmed in the exhibition grounds. This intention is confirmed by the CEO of EICMA S.p.A. and Chairman of Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Bicycles, Motorcycles and Accessories) Paolo Magri, who has defined the decision “an act of responsibility in the interest of the trade fair system as a real and up-to-date instrument of opportunity of growth for the market and to relaunch companies.”
“Although important glimmers of confidence can be seen,” Mr Magri explained, “the consequences of the pandemic have compressed the full calendar of Fiera Milano, concentrating many events of an international scope. After having reflected with the industry of reference and with a trade fair partner with whom we have had relations since 1950, we have decided to redefine the dates of EICMA in order to increase the attractiveness and the efficacy of all the scheduled events.”
For Magri “starting off again from this difficult situation is inevitably via the response of the system: this is why, as organizers and as a sector, we have decided to do everything we can to meet the requirements and requests of Fiera Milano, putting the overall interest as a common factor. I believe that it is precisely the most important events that have to pave the way in this direction.”
“Our willingness, very gladly accepted by Fiera Milano,” concluded the CEO of EICMA S.p.A., “represents a highly significant operation, which also aims at increasing the attractiveness of Milan, Lombardy and Italy as a whole. In the light of the many registrations we have already received, EICMA 2021 acquires a great symbolic value of confidence for the two-wheel sector, for the mobility industry, for our general public and for the trade fair system with all its satellite activities.”
