EICMA 2025 will also offer the opportunity to see the Desmo450 MX, the first motocross Ducati. The bike arrived in dealerships earlier this year, revealing its technical details. The DOHC 4-valve engine is based on desmodromic valve timing and delivers a max power output of 63.5 hp at 9,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 53.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The aluminum perimeter chassis is made using 11 elements; the suspension is by Showa with 49 mm upside-down forks and a 16 mm shock absorber mounted on the cast swingarm; the braking system combines Galfer brake discs and Brembo calipers. The Traction Control system is innovative: it is able to measure the actual slippage of the rear wheel on the ground and intervene accordingly.
