BMW Motorrad unveils the F 450 GS at EICMA 2025 — a kind of scaled-down GS designed for A2 license holders. It’s an adventure bike that encapsulates the DNA of its larger sisters in a package weighing just 178 kg. At its heart is a 420 cc parallel-twin engine with a 135-degree crankshaft. Power output is 48 hp at 8,750 rpm, while torque peaks at 43 Nm. The main innovation is called the Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), standard or optional depending on the trim level. It’s an advanced centrifugal clutch that eliminates the need to operate with the lever in most situations, making riding smooth and intuitive. The steel trellis frame is paired with a 43 mm KYB upside-down fork and an aluminum swingarm operating a progressive monoshock. Wheel sizes are 17 and 19 inches, with wire-spoke rims available as an option. The electronic package includes three riding modes, ABS Pro, DTC traction control, and a 6.5-inch TFT display with integrated connectivity. The BMW F 450 GS is offered in four trims: Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and Trophy.
