Almost 25 years have passed since the name Brutale first appeared on the scene. It was 2002 and the stage was EICMA, and it will be EICMA once again. This time it will be called simply “Brutale". It's still Brutale, recognisable among thousands thanks to its teardrop headlight. This time, the model is more in tune with the rider and features a new engine for the Brutale range. We are talking about the 931 cc three-cylinder with counter-rotating crankshaft, created for the Enduro Veloce and heavily re-engineered before being fitted into the frame of the new naked bike from Schiranna. New head, new ducts, new Termignoni exhaust, all to achieve a remarkable 148 hp at 11,200 rpm and a maximum torque of 107 Nm at 8,400 rpm. MV declares that a 85% of the maximum torque is already available at 3,500 rpm. The following remain unchanged: mixed structure frame with tubular trellis and aluminium side plates, with a steering angle opened by one degree and softened in flexibility for better handling. The single-sided swingarm is also confirmed, in this case lengthened by 30 mm. All this comes together in this Gold Series, which will be available in only 300 units and with top-of-the-line equipment. Forged wheels, Öhlins suspension with NIX 30 fork and Mono TTX 36, Brembo brakes with Hi-Pure calipers. Five RMs are planned. The new 5-inch TFT instrumentation is connected and allows turn-by-turn navigation, a complete electronic package that MV Agusta offers as standard. Finally, a standard version will also be available.
