At EICMA 2025, Piaggio is starting to rev up in anticipation of the celebrations for Vespa’s 80th Anniversary, scheduled for next year. Kicking off the festivities is the Vespa 80th special series, offered on the Vespa Primavera and Vespa GTS platforms. Its main distinguishing feature is the Verde Pastello livery, a pastel green shade echoed in numerous details. Completing the package are special logos and badges. The 80th anniversary will be celebrated in Rome from June 25 to 28, 2026, in what promises to be the biggest Vespa party ever held. In the Piaggio exhibition area, the 2026 model-year Vespa Primavera and Sprint S also take the stage, featuring technical, functional and design updates. A sharp eye will notice newly designed 12-inch wheels and the debut of a 220 mm rear disc brake. All versions regain the retractable hook under the handlebar, while keyless ignition appears on models above 50 cc. Vespa Primavera and Sprint S are available with combustion engines in 50, 125 and 150 cc displacements, as well as with an electric powertrain, homologated either as a moped (Am license) or as a motorcycle (A1 license).
