Yamaha expands its 2026 scooter range with the new NMax 155 Tech Max, equipped with a Euro5+ compliant 155 cc Blue Core engine (15 hp at 8,000 rpm; 2.4 litres per 100 km) with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology and Start & Stop system. The NMax 155 introduces the YECVT (Yamaha Electric Continuously Variable Transmission) with two selectable Riding Modes, Sport and Town. In ‘Sport’ mode, the gear ratio is shorter, the engine revs higher, acceleration results more responsive and engine braking is increased. Selecting ‘Town’ option, on the other hand, performance results smoother, by keeping an eye on comfort and fuel consumption . The difference is 1,000 rpm at 60 km/h: 5,000 versus 6,000 rpm. Yamaha has also equipped the NMAX 155 with a Downshift function: it can be activated by pressing a button or quickly opening the throttle. The effect is similar to that obtained by shifting down a gear with a standard gearbox. In terms of technology, this model is equipped with a 4.2" colour TFT display dashboard and integrated Garmin navigation system; MyRide app for managing calls and listening to music; USB-C socket for charging your smartphone. The new scooter, offered in Crystal Graphite and Midnight Black liveries, is completed by Smart Key ignition.
