2026 marks the return of two of Vespa’s best-loved models. Primavera and Sprint S have been thoroughly revamped, featuring technical and stylistic upgrades that promise to confirm their global success.
The most significant technical innovation in this generation concerns active safety: for the first time on the 125 and 150 “small body” Vespas, the classic rear drum brake has been replaced by a 220 mm steel disc, operated by a dual-piston calliper. The chassis has also evolved, with the introduction of 12-inch rims, featuring a brand-new split-five-spoke design. The aesthetics have been refined with targeted changes that make the lines even more contemporary: the central emblem on the front fairing is now sleeker, the crest on the Primavera model’s mudguard has been redesigned, and the seat covers feature new materials. For everyday use, the hook under the handlebars is back, useful for carrying a handbag or small item of luggage. Innovation also extends to on-board technology: all versions with engine capacities over 50 cc feature the keyless system, allowing the engine to be started without inserting the key. The instrumentation has evolved with full LCD display which, on the Primavera Tech model, becomes a 5-inch colour screen capable of connecting to a smartphone to manage calls and music. The range of engines remains extensive, including the tried-and-tested 50, 125 and 150 cc 4-stroke engines, as well as electric variants with removable batteries. The Vespa Primavera is available in the colours: Bianco Innocente, Nero Convinto, Verde Amabile, and also Blu Energico and the all-new Beige Avvolgente (for petrol-engine models only). The Vespa Primavera is also available in the “S” version in: Bianco Innocente and the new Giallo Disinvolto. The Vespa Sprint S is available in five colours: Bianco Innocente, Rosso Coraggioso, Blu Eclettico for the versions with petrol engine only, and Nero Convinto Opaco and the new colour Verde Ribelle for the electric versions too. The Vespa Primavera Tech embodies the heart of Vespa technology, available in Blu Energico Opaco and Grigio Ottimista Opaco.
