KTM has unveiled the 1390 Super Duke RR Track, an extreme motorcycle, a track-focused version of the road model developed in accordance with the FIM’s strict regulations for track use. It is not road-legal and is not for everyone. That is precisely where its appeal lies. It will be produced in only 100 units.
The new KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track is all about pure performance. The 1390 cc LC8 V-twin engine has not been radically overhauled, but power has been increased to 202 hp, with 151 Nm of torque. KTM has also focused on weight: the standard model has been put on a diet (- 20 kg), achieved through the extensive use of special materials and the removal of everything that is not strictly necessary. All unnecessary mounting points have been removed from the frame, and the fairings are made of carbon fibre; this is complemented by ultra-light forged magnesium wheels directly inspired by the RC16 MotoGP, a full Akrapovič Evolution Line titanium exhaust system, titanium bolts and a stripped-back electronics package designed exclusively for the track. The suspension is racing-derived: a WP Apex PRO 8548 Closed Cartridge fork, adjustable for compression, rebound and spring preload. If that’s not enough, the springs can be changed without dismantling the entire unit. At the rear is the WP Pro Components 8750 monoshock, with adjustment for fast and slow compression, rebound, preload and stroke length. The icing on the cake? Mounting points for the potentiometer that are compatible with advanced telemetry systems. The braking system is supplied by Brembo, featuring GP4 MS monoblock four-piston calipers at the front, 320 mm discs and a short-stroke master cylinder. At the rear, there is a P2.34 two-piston caliper on a 240 mm disc. Grip is ensured by Michelin Power Performance Slick tyres in sizes 120/70 – R17 and 200/55 – R17, designed to reach operating temperature quickly.
Please note that the brand will be present at the EICMA Riding Fest with the Duke, Adventure, Dual Sport, Sports Tourer, Supermoto and EXC Enduro ranges, offering test rides on public roads and on a dedicated off-road circuit. Marco Iob, KTM’s official ambassador, will be in the event paddock to share his experience with the public. A brand-new feature of the 2026 edition will be the presence of KTM models on the track. Together with staff from the Café Racer dealership, passionate enthusiasts will have the opportunity to test the new KTM 990 RC R and KTM 990 Duke R on the international circuit, alongside the incredibly powerful KTM 1390 Super Duke R and 1390 Super Duke R EVO.
