Almost sixty years after the closure of its historic Yorkshire factory, the glorious British brand Phelon & Moore returns to the global market, restarting from its roots.
The true manifesto of this rebirth is the Capetown 7X, a mid-size adventure bike that pays tribute to the famous 1935 London-to-Cape Town crossing accomplished by Teresa Wallach and Florence Blenkiron aboard a historic Panther with a sidecar. Designed by the Phelon & Moore Style Centre in Turin, the 7X features fluid and elegant lines, enhanced by classic British colours such as Artemesia Green, Dover White, and London Gray. Beneath the bodywork beats a modern 693 cc, 74 hp parallel-twin engine (an A2 license-compliant version is also available), designed to offer smooth power delivery both on long highway trips and light dirt roads. The chassis relies on a solid steel trellis frame combined with adjustable suspension, while the refined choice of an aluminum single-sided swingarm stands out in the segment. The spoked wheels are fitted with tires featuring the characteristic "panther pattern" tread, suitable for any surface, supported by a dual-disc braking system and technology that includes a 7-inch display with smartphone mirroring and switchable electronic controls for off-road riding. For those who prefer asphalt, the range is completed by the Capetown 7S variant, equipped with smaller 17-inch wheels, a lower seat, and a range exceeding 400 kilometers thanks to the 19-liter tank. Finally, to celebrate the brand's return, the exclusive Capetown 7X Design by Pininfarina limited edition will be available, produced in only 595 numbered units.
