Specialising in suspension measurement technologies, LABA7 is expanding its range with the MICRO Shock Dyno, a test bench designed for teams and workshops that need to test shock absorbers even when away from their main premises.
The Micro Shock Dyno test bench features a closed-loop servomotor equipped with a multi-turn absolute encoder, capable of maintaining speeds between 1 and 1,000 mm/s even as the load varies. The equipment includes a 10 kN load cell and a non-contact temperature sensor, with a reading range from -40 to +150 °C. The system is controlled via the Shock Dyno v2 software, with Wi-Fi, USB and Ethernet connections. Standing 1,338 mm tall and with an operating weight of 65 kg, the Micro features removable uprights that reduce its height to 626 mm during transport. It is powered by a single-phase supply at 230 V or 110 V, and can also be operated via a generator or a socket fitted to a race van. Two fork adaptors with automatic preload are supplied as standard; additional mounts allow the test bench to be configured for car, motorbike and mountain bike shock absorbers. The Micro Shock Dyno will be unveiled at EICMA 2026 at the LABA7 stand (B33), Hall 6.
