Benelli BKX 300 and BKX 300 S: same engine, different characters

Benelli expands its BKX range with two new models featuring the same engine but with different set-ups: the BKX 300 is an adventure bike capable of tackling light off-road terrain, whilst the BKX 300 S is a street-focused naked.

The design is by Benelli Centro Stile based in Pesaro and echoes the styling of the 125cc versions. At the heart of the project is the 292.4cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine, delivering 28.6 hp and 24 Nm of torque, within the limits set by the A2 licence. Low fuel consumption and a 12-litre fuel tank promise good range. The differences between the two models lie in the chassis and suspension: the BKX 300 adventure model is fitted with 19-inch spoked wheels at the front and 17-inch at the rear; the BKX 300, on the other hand, opts for 17-inch alloy wheels for a more responsive road-going set-up. Both feature a 41 mm front fork adjustable for preload, compression and rebound; at the rear, there is a monoshock with progressive linkage, adjustable for preload and rebound. The set-up, however, is different: the BKX 300 leans towards off-road use, thanks to 180 mm of wheel travel and 229 mm of ground clearance, a seat height of 860 mm and a kerb weight of 156 kg. The BKX 300 S, on the other hand, features a set-up optimised for tarmac and rapid direction changes, without compromising on urban versatility. It features 150 mm of wheel travel, a seat height of 820 mm and a kerb weight of 153 kg. The technical specifications for both models are rounded off by an ABS braking system, comprising a 300 mm front disc with a four-piston radial caliper, and a 240 mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper. The footrests on the new BKX 300 and BKX 300 S can be adjusted to two positions to adapt the riding ergonomics; the tech features include an LCD instrument panel together with a USB socket. Both models arrive at dealerships in the first half of May 2026.
