The technicians from Akashi have updated the Z500 and Z500 SE for 2027. While keeping its fierce Sugomi styling and sharp technical DNA untouched, the big update brings a fresh wave of striking new graphics and colour combinations.
The standard Z500 for 2027 is proposed in Ebony / Metallic Carbon Gray, whereas the Z500 SE is available in Candy Persimmon Red / Metallic Carbon Gray or Pearl Blizzard White / Candy Lime Green Type 3 / Ebony. Underneath the tank beats the 451cc twin-cylinder engine pushing out 45 hp, designed specifically for A2 license riders. Its trellis frame champions agility and mass centralization, while the low 785 mm seat height, active riding position, and wide handlebars guarantee both comfort and total control. An Assist & Slipper clutch keeps lever action light while preventing rear-wheel hop and lock-ups during rapid downshifting. On the technology front, the Z500 relies on clean LCD instrumentation, while the SE raises the bar with a vibrant TFT display featuring a digital speedometer and tachometer, gear position indicator with shift lamp, dual trip meters, and instant or average fuel economy readouts. Both models keep you connected to your ride via smartphone integration through the Rideology App.
