Following the success of the RS 457 sportbike, Aprilia introduces the Tuono 457, which inherits the RS's technical setup but with an aesthetic inspired by the larger-displacement Tuono models. The maximum power is still 35 kW (47.6 HP) at 9400 rpm, within the requirements for A2 license holders, delivered by the 457 cc parallel-twin engine with liquid cooling, double overhead camshafts, and 4 valves per cylinder. Thanks to a specific tuning, 82% of the torque is available as early as 3000 rpm, with a peak of 43.5 Nm at 6700 rpm. Compared to the RS 457, the Tuono has a shorter final drive with an additional tooth on the rear sprocket. The chassis features a fist-in-segment double-beam aluminum frame and a swingarm mounted to the engine, for a total of just 159 kg (dry weight). The 41 mm fork and monoshock are preload-adjustable, and the 17” wheels are fitted with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tires. The seat height is only 800 mm, making the bike accessible to a wide range of riders. Electronics include Ride By Wire, three Riding Modes (Eco, Sport, Rain), three levels of traction control, and Bosch ABS. The design is all-new, with subtle aerodynamic elements reminiscent of the Tuono 1000 R and the larger V4 1100. The Tuono 457 is available in two colors (Piranha Red and Puma Gray) and can be customized with various accessories, including a bidirectional quick-shifter and a red final drive chain.
