The Yamaha R9, ready to hit the roads in 2025, is powered by 890 cc CP3 liquid-cooled engine derived from the latest MT-09, with 119 hp at 10,000 rpm and 93 Nm at 7,000. The aluminum Deltabox frame has been tuned in rigidity for sports performance at both low and high loads. Suspension is KYB fully adjustable, and the front brake is Brembo, with radial master cylinder, braided hoses, Stylema calipers and 320mm discs. Contained is the weight: 195kg in running order. The electronics feature all the latest riding aids, thanks to multimap ride-by-wire throttle and a 6-axis inertial platform. The 2025 R9 is available in Icon Blue and Tech Black colours and is expected to be in Yamaha showrooms from March.
