After a few years away, Kawasaki brings back the supercharged Ninja H2 for the 2027 model year in two variants. On one side is the road-legal Ninja H2, while on the other is the H2R, exclusively designed for track use.
Giving the project a new lease of life is a major update that leaves the styling largely unchanged while almost completely revising the mechanics. Specifically, the changes include the compressor impeller, fuel system, pistons, cylinder head, cylinders, crankshaft and camshafts. The throttle bodies, exhaust system and transmission ratios are also new. The result for the road-going Ninja H2 is 209 hp with Ram Air at speed, together with even stronger mid-range torque. The H2R, meanwhile, raises the performance bar even further, exceeding 300 hp. On the chassis side, alongside the steel trellis frame, there are numerous high-end components, including KYB AOS-II forks, an Öhlins TTX36 rear shock and Brembo Hypure front brake calipers. The equipment also includes a new instrument cluster and a comprehensive suite of rider-assistance systems, including revised KTRC traction control and KLCM launch control. As for colours, the only option is Mirror Coated Spark Black, while alongside the standard version, the limited-edition Ninja H2 Carbon is also available.
