At EICMA 2025, the CFMoto V4 SR-RR Prototype previews a forthcoming 1000cc supersport model soon to enter production. A glance at this show bike immediately reveals the huge wings on either side of the front fairing. The company explains that these aerodynamic appendages are active: electric motors adjust their angle depending on whether the goal is to cut through the air to reach top speed (well over 300 km/h) or to generate downforce for improved grip under braking or in corners. While such solutions are banned in racing, it will be interesting to see what actually makes it to production. Beyond the MotoGP-level components (such as brakes, suspension, and the titanium Akrapovič exhaust), special attention should be paid to what lies beneath the fairing. Taking center stage is the 997 cc V4 engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft and a claimed output of over 210 hp. This engine also serves as a stressed part of the chassis, with the upper frame beam linked directly to the rear cylinders.
