The first major project born from the alliance between MotoGP and EICMA is unveiled at the Red Bull Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera. For the first time in the history of the International Two-Wheeler Exhibition, more than 70 years of premier-class racing will come together in an exhibition covering over 1,400 square metres: more than 35 motorcycles, interactive content and a high-impact visual experience. The MotoGP Gaming Arena, fan engagement activities and the chance to win exclusive experiences at the 2027 Italian Grands Prix further strengthen a partnership that will bring MotoGP throughout EICMA
MISANO ADRIATICO, 11 SEPTEMBER 2026 – From Mugello to Misano, with Milan as the destination. EICMA.SHIFT UP moves into high gear. Just over three months after announcing the strategic partnership between MotoGP and EICMA, the two global platforms of the two-wheel world have unveiled, at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli during the Red Bull Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera, the first major project born from their collaboration.
It is called “Legends of Speed”, an exhibition that, for the first time in EICMA’s history, will bring to the International Two-Wheeler Exhibition a major showcase dedicated to more than 70 years of premier-class Grand Prix motorcycle racing.
From 5 to 8 November 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho, more than 1,400 square metres in Hall 22 will host over 35 iconic motorcycles. The journey will begin with the AJS Porcupine 500, the motorcycle on which Leslie Graham claimed the inaugural 500cc World Championship title in 1949, before travelling through the great eras of the Championship: from the three- and four-cylinder MV Agusta 500s ridden by Giacomo Agostini and Phil Read to the Yamahas that shaped the history of the premier class, including Valentino Rossi’s; from the legendary Honda NSRs to the Suzukis of Kevin Schwantz and Franco Uncini, through to the Ducatis of the more recent era and an absolute masterpiece of Italian engineering, the Moto Guzzi 500 V8. Bringing the journey full circle will be the official MotoGP machines from the five manufacturers competing in the 2026 World Championship, brought together as part of the exhibition.
Motorcycles and riders will take centre stage in an immersive journey that will draw a parallel between the evolution of technology and that of the riders who have continued to push the limits of speed. A high-impact visual installation, archive images and materials, audiovisual and interactive content will create an experience designed to engage both passionate fans and new generations. The project has been developed by EICMA together with MotoGP, with the involvement of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) in showcasing and celebrating the Championship’s historic and sporting heritage.
“Our partnership with EICMA allows us to bring MotoGP even closer to the fans and to tell the story of our sport beyond the racetrack,” said Carlos Ezpeleta, Deputy CEO of MotoGP Group. “Legends of Speed celebrates an extraordinary history, but above all it creates a bridge between MotoGP’s heritage and its present, defined by technology, entertainment and constant evolution. EICMA is a unique global platform for the world of two wheels, and together we want to offer fans new ways to experience MotoGP, while also reaching new audiences and younger generations. All the initiatives we are developing together are moving precisely in this direction.”
“At Mugello we announced a vision; at Misano we are beginning to show its concrete results,” said Paolo Magri, CEO of EICMA, and Pietro Meda, President of EICMA S.p.A. “Legends of Speed perfectly embodies the spirit of SHIFT UP: bringing together the highest expression of motorcycle sport with the place where the global two-wheel industry meets and presents its future. Bringing together more than 70 years of history, all the way through to the MotoGP machines racing today, means offering the public an extraordinary experience and showing how competition, technology, products and passion are all part of the same ecosystem.”
But “Legends of Speed” will be just one chapter in the MotoGP–EICMA partnership. In November, the pinnacle of motorcycle racing will become part of the EICMA experience through activations and touchpoints throughout the event, fan engagement initiatives, digital content and activities dedicated to the public. These will include the MotoGP Gaming Arena, a space dedicated to gaming and younger generations, adding another dimension to the MotoGP experience at EICMA.
The collaboration will also create tangible opportunities for EICMA visitors: throughout the event, the public will be able to take part in activities and initiatives offering the chance to win exclusive experiences at the 2027 MotoGP Grands Prix at Mugello and Misano. This direct connection between Milan and the racetracks further strengthens EICMA’s role as an active MotoGP partner, bringing together industry, sport and fans while extending the Championship experience beyond race weekends.
Further initiatives will be unveiled in the coming weeks, continuing the Road to EICMA that began at Mugello and now takes another significant step towards Milan at Misano.
From the racetrack to the industry, from the motorcycles that made history to those writing the story today: EICMA.SHIFT UP accelerates.
