Following its strong performance in the MX2 World Championship, Triumph is refreshing the TF 250-X for the 2027 season. The new version of the bike introduces a series of innovations developed in a racing context, with targeted improvements to the engine, chassis and components.
The 249.9 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine retains a claimed power output of 48 CV at 13,500 rpm, complemented by new electronic calibration that optimises throttle response, power delivery smoothness and torque management. The powertrain also features new valve guides, updated clutch components and a new selector drum, to improve gear-shifting precision, durability and consistency. Significant updates have also been made to the Kayaba suspension, with revised settings and new tool-free adjustment mechanisms. The 48 mm AOS fork and the monoshock with separate reservoir are paired with new Neken steering heads made from 7075-T6 aluminium, featuring recalibrated stiffness. The specification also includes a Brembo braking system with Galfer discs, a ProTaper ACF handlebar, dual engine mapping, Launch Control, Traction Control and Quickshifter. Controls and ergonomics have also been updated, whilst the new styling package features all-black plastic components, graphics and fork protectors.
