Yamaha updates the MT-07 for 2025, equipping it with new features. This best-seller comes with the confirmed CP2 twin-cylinder engine producing 73.4 hp and 68 Nm. The engine now incorporates electronic technologies such as the Ride by Wire throttle with three riding modes (Sport, Street, and fully customizable Custom), slipper clutch, and traction control. An optional quickshifter is available, but the true highlight is the Y-AMT transmission, already seen on the MT-09, which Yamaha has now made available for the MT-07. On the chassis side, the frame has been lightened, the swingarm is new, and the wheels are now made using spinforged technology, reducing the weight by 480 g. The suspension has been revised, and for the first time, the MT-07 features an inverted fork and radial calipers. Despite the added suite of technology, the overall weight of the bike drops by 1 kg, bringing it to 183 kg fully fueled. Ergonomics have improved with the adoption of an handlebar that is 18 mm wider, 22 mm lower, and 9.3 mm further back, while the footpegs have been lowered. Finally, the new 5" full-colour display offers handlebar controls with a 5-way joystick and advanced indicators with emergency braking functions, as well as a “three-flash” feature, with automatic turn signal deactivation.
